Former President Bill Clinton is going to be in Asheville this evening, campaigning for Hillary. He'll be at Asheville High School around 8:00 this evening and admission is free and open to the public.

Sadly, I won't be able to attend but I assume Rob will be there to snap pics, get an autograph, and enjoy the speech so I'm expecting a full report here this weekend.

An Inconvenient Truth...,25197,23411799-7583,00.html

Now global warming REDUCES hurricanes, after being told that warming of the oceans will INCREASE hurricanes

But wait - are the oceans warming?

Since the oceans have cooled, does that mean we are experiencing global cooling? So it would seem...

Buy parkas!! Stock up on firewood!! We're doomed!!!

And what about the arctic ice? Well, take a look...

That's it. I'm going to buy an SUV. For the health of the planet. It's the right thing to do. Think of the planet.

Man, with all of this conflicting data, I think it is the perfect time to pass legislation that will hamper the economy based on conflicting reports, inconclusive data and shaky computer models.

But at least Al Gore got his Nobel Prize.

Improv Everywhere

Improv Everywhere is the group that gets a large number of people to go into public areas and do things out of the ordinary. Their latest mission is to perform a spontaneous musical at a food court in a mall.

Pretty nifty, and would be very cool to be one of the people who got to experience this in the audience. I think I like their Frozen Grand Central Station video better, but the musical's pretty cool.

Just heard on the radio that "Annie" is being performed at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium on March 19th. I'm thinking it sounds like a great place for The Beacon to meet the Beaconette. You can even get tickets online at Ticketmaster for it!
