Now global warming REDUCES hurricanes, after being told that warming of the oceans will INCREASE hurricanes

But wait - are the oceans warming?

Since the oceans have cooled, does that mean we are experiencing global cooling? So it would seem...

That's it. I'm going to buy an SUV. For the health of the planet. It's the right thing to do. Think of the planet.
Man, with all of this conflicting data, I think it is the perfect time to pass legislation that will hamper the economy based on conflicting reports, inconclusive data and shaky computer models.
But at least Al Gore got his Nobel Prize.

There are and abundance of data on both sides concerning Global Warming so debating it without further unbiased scientific research at this point seems a bit futile and only serves as yet another issue meant to polarize people into camps of "us" and "them".
My take on it is this: whether we're warming, cooling, neither, or some mix of both, the amount of pollution (chemicals, waste products, heat, etc.) the six billion of us pump out must have some kind of effect on the environment around us.
Short of some kind of global population control, we're more than likely going to keep breeding and pumping out even more waste. Doesn't it make sense to try to keep the negative impact of it all under control as much as possible?
"Doesn't it make sense to try to keep the negative impact of it all under control as much as possible?"
What negative impact? Of pollution? Of course pollution should be kept under control. We're talking about global warming. Quit moving the goalposts.
